Encumbered by my presence - meow, she sits and demurs

Cat purrs

She licks her paws - passively ignores me

non invasive I try to be

She needs attention - this hand needs to stroke

cancel the yoke

Unattached, she walks away - alone, she lives alone

quietly to roam

Stretch of limbs – across the mirror

silence echoes in my ear
